The PROFILE hat was the first Luftgekuhlt hat we made. I worked with Patrick Long to create a hat that would have looked at home in a 70's racing paddock - what would the team hat look like if Luft was the title sponsor? Corduroy was a more premium yet common hat fabric in the period & the embroidered felt patch looks like it could have come off the chest of a vtg. race suit.
Aircooled flathead engines have a soft spot in my heart, so it was an honor to make another hat for this years edition of the preeminent air-cooled Porsche festival Luftgekuhlt. We chose to use the classic Luft logo in the signature Ampal embroidered felt patch style on the last of our premium deadstock Italian corduroy.
