To me the vintage felt block letter Harley-Davidson race jerseys and sweaters are the most iconic single design in their apparel history, so I immediately knew I wanted to do a hat with that look. The first H-D apparel item was a race jersey with felt letter appliqués, like this hat, released in 1914, so we wanted to give this hat a little more vintage look. The khaki herringbone underbrim and front lining reference the two-tone jerseys first released in 1939.
