While I was laying in bed, suffering from post tradeshow sickness, checking cobrasnake‘s pics from the secret MIA show, I saw this pic of Squeak-e-Clean in the Radiant Baby snap back. We’ve had N.A.S.A. on heavy rotation in our itunes all year and are stoked to see Sam rockin some Ampal.

NASA music + radiant baby + mean 2 finger pyramid ring = unstoppable party bangers

We hope everyone is enjoying the 3 day summer finale and the epic weather.
Saturday was our buddies’ roosevelt pool party rager, here are some moments from the madness:
marcus was lifestyle testing a prototype straw bowler…

& the pool was frothin with mer-babes…

hendo, the man behind our videos, and airwolf, the man behind the turntables, seen before:
and during:

reed and taylor, the gentlemen behind the lens of our last 2 lookbook shoots, holding down the LJ corner…
which soon basically became the back of the bus corner for the party – sweaty dancing, spliffs in rotation, airwolf fueled monster splash attacks, and a large group of security, kind of perplexed/worried/angered by it all…

big thanks to this guy for the epic pics…

and big ups to these gentlemen (+nick) for throwin a perfect end of summer pool party, h.hills crew for hostin the pre event, and venice crew for the after…

Our buddies @ CRAP and CollaborativeMedia are throwin THREW a bitchin end of summer pool party tomorrow saturday

See you there…

We took off from downtown LA , northbound, on a road trip toward SF.
It was great to get out of the city.

We drove up to Santa Cruz through Big Sur, an amazing drive through majestic untouched Central California coastline.
Big thanks to the Santa Cruz homies for makin us feel at home: Fonz, Ian, Mowgs, Driscoll, Megan…
SC definitely felt way more like the true “surf city” than Huntington. Our buddies run an organic farm and had amazing dinner waiting for us, and even had t.moss himself, artist/surf film maker extraordinaire, at dinner. After hittin up the local watering hole for some Jameson and Guiness, the drink of choice in the cold dampness, we went back to there surf cabin in the woods. I think I experienced more nature from 1 night there than all of ’09 in LA.

We found some cool stores in downtown SC that will be carrying Ampal soon.
After an icy surf at scott’s creak, we continued up the CA-1 N, completely fogged in, and are ready for the next few days in SF…
Julius Shulman, reknowned architectural photographer died yesterday. He is probably most kown for his picture below. Its a shot of Koenig’s Case Study House No. 22 and probably most famous architectural photograph taken in the US. With just one highschool photography class to his name, Shulman got his start when a photo he had taken of a Richard Neutra house caught the architects eye. After WWII he was hired to document Arts & Architecture magazine’s famed Case Study housing program. Working with pretty much a who’s who of modern architecture – Rudolf M. Schindler, Gregory Ain, Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles Eames, Raphael S. Soriano, John Lautner, Eero Saarinen, Albert Frey, Pierre Koenig, Harwell Harris and many others, Shulman’s work really captured the feeling of the era. Southern California in the 50′s was a design hot bed that really helped define California Kool from the aforementioned archicture and design such as the famed Eames chairs, to the whole kustom car culture, to jazz and the arts, and it still feels relevant today. Thanks to Shulman’s photography generations to come can enjoy that moment.

Our homie 12th Planet has been blowing up recently. Pretty much leadin the US dubstep revolution John has been chargin an adventure in bass driven WAH WAH WOBBLENESS. He’s been super busy -in the last month hes been recording a new album, rocked 2 scion shows, Electric Daisy Carnival, toured the west coast and mid west, remixed mstrkrft’s heartbreaker, the list goes on. We got some ridiculous 12th Planet video and music that we were gonna wait for the new ampal site to share it with you, but had to post these pics we found from last nights show…

I was amazed/inspired by these pics I found on my friends blog.
Shredding a huge concrete wave on your bike. Epic feeling, epic pics.
These rekindled my desire to bring my bike into the LA river and ride for miles along the huge graffitied banks…

Its a drained hydroelectric power station in Europe, Homeland Security would probably tazer/shoot you if you tried this in the US.

droppin in… WOOOOOOOOOO!!!
