Our homies at Joyrich have been doing big things lately. They just opened their Hong Kong flagship store and had one of the most talked about collections at LA Fashion Week. Here are some pictures of the store launch from Pistols & Lipstick.
This is picture IS Joyrich – hot blonde babes, mirrors, wild patterns, bright colors, and shiny shining gold and silver.

I was stoked to see our collabo hats made the front display.

Champagne instead of phones – Courtney and Yuichi off the sales hustle and enjoying their hard work. Cheers!
Epic on so many levels
Joyrich just killed it on the runaway too, with a well received show at LA Fashion Week.
Ampal X Joyrich Alameda fedora blowin up…

Big ups to Leah & David (pictured), Tom and the rest of the Joyrich/Open Crew. Big moves in ’10, the world in ’11.
We are proud to introduce our first collaboration. We worked with JOYRICH to create special versions of our ALAMEDA fedora and DRAPER pork pie with custom, made in LA, bands with some of their prints and complimenting special leathers. We also used some of their signature prints to create some of my favorite snap backs to date.

Sorry but you have to wait until they drop them in the next few days to see all the product shots.

They will be available soon exclusively in the JOYRICH flagship stores in Japan and maybe LA. We may have a few of the pork pies and fedoras to offer in our webstore.

If I’m not wearing CRAPs, I tend to stick to the classics – Moscot and Persol; however, after watching this video, I will be giving Oliver Peoples a second glance.

This collection was inspired by classic Southern California summers – long days in the sun, surf trips to Baja, the Pacific and warm boozy nights at the beach.
We are proud to say the entire collection was hand crafted in Los Angeles from materials sourced locally. The colorways we chose are inspired by the many moods of the ocean and our beautfiul coastline. Premium chambrays, denims and corduroys are the basis of the collection while Hawaiian print linings, run stitched waves and waxed canvas patches provide the details Ampal is known for. We are offering four new snapbacks in our custom 6 panel block and introducing our new painters cap.

Purple Haze Hawaiian Lining
It was really hard to find the corduroy we had in mind. After scouring warehouses in the Fashion District we found the perfect two rolls. We bought them on the spot and made as many of each as we could. 36 Charcoal and 104 Blue
There‘s even a little story behind the patch. Even though we’ve used waxed canvas in an application that doesn’t utilize its inherent waterproof functionality, we still found the best there is. Sourced from an almost 200 year old, American company, this stuff acquires an amazing patina with wear.

Downtown Gray Hawaiian Lining
After finding a lot of flimsy chambray options from Chinese mills, we knew we had found the right material. Unlike their Eastern counterparts, this sturdy Italian chambray is worthy of its fabled blue collar past. This premium material is the perfect summer weight and we celebrated it’s rich texture with a clean blank design. The Downtown Gray Hawaiian lining gives it the subtle swagger we’re known for.

OCCY Painters Cap
Premium Italian Chambray Upper
Natural Cone Denim Brim and Button
Run Stitch Wave Embroidery
Paradise Hawaiian Lining & Stash Pocket
Inspired by a circa 1988 cap, I found a few years ago in a vintage store on Haight in SF, this is the premier of our Painters Cap. It has a short 1 3/4” brim that you can flip up and a stash pocket in the lining. It is fully lined for structure, but has no buckram, so it is fully crushable and well suited for traveling.
Sizes: S/M & L/XL

ALOHA Snap Back
Custom Ampal 6 Panel Snap Back Baseball Cap
Hawaiian Print Upper
Hawaiian Lining
A last minute addition to the line, the ALOHA snap back was made from a few different Aloha prints. No 2 are exactly the same and only 12 – 36 pieces a print will be offered.

Future Vintage. Bringing the tropical fashion heat from Byron Bay Australia, outta the Future Vintage vision of our homie Sean Stickley. Straight Lordin’

These T’s, Tanks and Boardies are all cut n sew and really capture the feel of Future Vintage for me.

This summer’s collection has expanded to include custom button ups, cardigans as well as the introduction of FV Leather.

The tropical feel is nicely juxtaposed with a late 80s early 90s fashion feel.

Sean has also created some nice accessories to compliment the line – scarves, leather belts and jewelry such as this pendant.
