Livin for the City
We were pretty stoked to see Curren$y‘s new video for “Living For The City.”
Spitta is wearing our REMINGTON snap back from FW12. We’ve been using this print for a few years and were the first to use it in hat, unfortunately we are sold out, but we do have some of the REMINGTON camp hat left. Ours are fully lined in premium satin as well.

New Spring Camp Hats
We just released a few new camp hats inspired by some of our sold out snapbacks. Marina del Rey was the perfect backdrop to feature them, so we headed out on the “BELLA FIGA” for an afternoon of sun on the water. The SEVEN SEAS III Camp hat is shown above with a rugged khaki twill upper and Seven Seas print brim.
The AUGUSTA II Camp hat, made from deadstock rose print, is lined in a premium blue and white striped woven cotton.
The REVERSE II Camp is the camp version of last summers REVERSE snap back with a contrast brown wool brim.

Ampal x Gorbals Chefs Hat
“The Gorbals is a spot for new and diverse ideas. For tasty, oddball food that is there for anyone who is willing to eat something that does not fall into a category. It is not an Italian restaurant, or an Indian restaurant, or a Scottish restaurant, or a Los Angeles restaurant, nor is it new age, traditional, old school, fusion, pretentious or plain. It is simply The Gorbals. ”
Our favorite restaurant happens to be a few blocks up the street. Over many a meal and beers at the Gorbal’s kitchen counter – its like being in Kitchen Stadium – we got front row input from Ilan, Manny and Lizi on the ultimate chef’s hat.
The upper is made from 100% cotton canvas. Its tough, breathable, and at home in the kitchen. On the right side we added elastic slots for holding a meat thermometer and Sharpie. The brim is made from industrial vinyl, so if you have to adjust your hat with greasy hands, you can wipe it off later. We sourced a special vinyl backed diamond knit sweatband to keep it cool in the heat of the kitchen.
Its all black because its Ampal for the Gorbals and Ilan is from NY.
Limited to 60 pieces to the public. The rest are for the Gorbals’ chefs – if they sell out, maybe you can start washing dishes.

We are excited to premier our Summer Collection. We searched the depths of Downtown Los Angeles to handpick a variety of vintage prints and other premium ingredients. We have new versions of some of our classics and for the first time we are offering a selection of 5 Panel Camp Caps.
Another first is the option to preorder the hats through our webstore. Since we use a lot of deadstock materials, we are often limited to 100-200 pieces per hat and they almost always sell out. A lot of you requested this option and we will be offering 24 pieces per style for preorder to ship 5/23.
This is the SEVEN SEAS II. It is the new version of one of your favorites from last year, but we flipped the material to give it a faded vintage look.
The AUGUSTA II. We have received a ton of emails about last season’s Augusta. This version is a little more tonal and printed on linen, but we carried over the dull gold details for that Country Club vibe.
The FIVE-OH. Vintage Palm Print Linen upper with corduroy brim and button. Less than 120 made.
OLIVE ME, born from another roll found buried under some of the most hideous floral prints out there. I love that the colorway and print are both military and tropical. Unfortunately only about 120 of these made as well.
G’MORNIN BAGHDAD – there are palm trees in the desert too. Vintage printed canvas upper, micro cord brim and button.
This is the REVERSE snap back. Voluptuous cowgirls, cacti & classic western elements.

We know the strong profile of the snapback can be too much for some people so we are proud to introduce our 5 panel camp hats. They have a lower profile and we kept them light weight for summer and packability.
7 SEAS - we are stoked to launch the new colorway of the 7 Seas print in the camp hat.
The KIND OF BLUE is probably my favorite of the camp hats. Vintage woven tapa upper with a washed denim brim.
